What do you think of before you book a vacation in the Caribbean? Relaxing in the sun? Sampling gourmet island food? How about making a baby?
The latest vacation trend to come out of the Caribbean is exactly that - a Procreation Vacation, a getaway created to help you and your partner conceive a baby.
The Westin at Our Lucaya Grand Bahamas Island offers a Procreation package starting at $1,900 for a three-night stay. It's been so popular that the Westin chain also provides such vacations in their St. John and Puerto Rico resorts.
The prices, anywhere from $1,600 to $3,500, are anything but cheap. But many couples who have been able to conceive during these vacations have sworn by them.
Each package is different but many include an aromatheraphy couples massage, tender dinners, reflexology (all of which are supposed to promote fertility) and of course, a fancy suite where the couples can, um, sleep. If that doesn't have you and your significant other signing up for a long weekend, how about endless bowls of pumpkin soup for the woman and a concoction of sea moss, milk, sugar and spices for the man - again, all said to promote conception and fertility.
