Population: 3,191,319 (as of July 2006) Language: While the official language is Spanish, many Panamanians speak English as well. Land Size: Slightly smaller than South Carolina Climate: Dry season from January to May and wet season from May to January; hot, humid, cloudy and tropical Natural Disasters: Forest fires and storms. Travel Requirements:
Airlines: Continental flies to Panama from Newark and Houston; COPA from Los Angeles; COPA and American from Miami; COPA from Orlando and Delta from Atlanta. Vaccinations: There are no required vaccinations for travel to Panama but your doctor may recommend one for rural areas of Bocas del Toro, Darién, and San Blas.
